We started SharpSafe because we saw too many local healthcare and wellness businesses overpaying for poor service from companies that had no idea what their compliance needs actually were.
SharpSafe Solutions was founded after watching a close friend's dental practice face an OSHA inspection — and get hit with a $9,000 fine for improper sharps documentation. They had been paying a national provider for two years and had zero audit-ready records to show for it.
The experience was infuriating. The business owner had been paying every month, in good faith, and still wasn't actually protected. The national company's contract had hidden clauses. Their rate had increased 34% over two years. Their "compliance documentation" was technically insufficient under NC state rules.
We knew Charlotte's healthcare and wellness community deserved better. So we built SharpSafe: a local company with local knowledge, honest pricing, and a genuine commitment to making every one of our customers bulletproof from a compliance standpoint.
Our Mission Statement
"Making compliance accessible, affordable, and stress-free for every healthcare and wellness business in Charlotte."
We believe that compliance should not be a competitive disadvantage for small businesses. Every dental office, tattoo studio, and vet clinic deserves the same level of protection and documentation that the large hospital systems take for granted.

These aren't platitudes — they're the operating principles behind every decision we make.
The price you see is the price you pay. Our contracts are plain-English. Our processes are documented. If we make a mistake, we own it and fix it immediately.
We live and work in Charlotte. We know Mecklenburg County's inspection patterns, NC DENR rules, and the specific challenges of operating a healthcare business here. Our knowledge is local.
We don't cut corners on documentation, transport, or treatment. Every service we deliver meets or exceeds federal and NC state regulatory requirements, period.
We're not a vendor — we're a compliance partner. When regulations change, we tell you first. When you have questions, you reach a real person who knows your account.

Being locally owned means something. We're not a publicly traded company optimizing for quarterly earnings. We're a Charlotte small business that competes by being better, not by locking customers in.
We support Charlotte small businesses — because we are one. When you choose SharpSafe, your dollars stay in the Charlotte economy. Our team lives here. We sponsor local healthcare professional associations and donate to community health initiatives.
We're also committed to environmental responsibility. Every waste stream we handle is processed through the safest, most compliant pathway available. We don't cut corners to save a few dollars — the environment and public health matter too much.
